Superfood Asia trade exhibition was held in Singapore for the first time this week, April 24-26, 2019. It was a new remarkable experience for us to participate! This was a showcase of supporters of healthier eating who bring natural, organic, and Halal-certified ingredients and processed goods.
One product of ours drew particular interest. Wrapped in paper packaging, Yoshitomo’s handmade kale chips are made of kale grown solely by nature’s elements. They are not baked nor fried, but dried in pure mountain air.
Yoshitomo’s kale leaves are naturally cultivated without pesticides or fertilisers in the clear air of mountainous Aoki village of eastern Nagano Prefecture. The seeds used are free from genetic modification. Usually, kale has a bitter taste, but the kale grown in the soil of Yoshitomo’s farm has no bitterness.
Freshly harvested kale is immediately dried in the pure mountain air and sunlight of Aoki village at an altitude of 600m. The kale is then wrapped in walnut sauce and natural seasonings. Only carefully selected ingredients are used; no chemical seasonings nor food additives are present.
Kale has terrific nutritional value. Dark green leafy vegetables are an excellent source of iron, beta-carotene, vitamins, calcium, folic acid, and dietary fibre. Some benefits of eating kale include invigorating the skin, strengthening immunity, and helping against anaemia.
Walnuts have a very high amount of omega-3 fatty acid; which have been connected to fighting heart disease.
Two delightful flavours are available.
